To use social media platforms effectively you need to know some social media hacks that enhance your ability for using them.
1st is YouTube:
Hack #1 Know your YouTube audience preferences
To learn more about YouTube viewers all you need to do is use YouTube’s cards feature. You can learn everything you want to know about your audience without even asking them to leave the website or the application. YouTube Card Polls allow you to discover how your viewers see your page, what they watch most, what they like to watch, and what they don’t like. If you ask the right questions you can alter your channel to your viewers’ preferences, to get people to feel like they are actually contributing and choosing what they watch and aren’t just a passively streaming.
Hack #2 Download any audio or video from YouTube
To download audio: Simply replace “youtube” with “listen to youtube” in the URL to download the audio!
To download videos: Put “ssyoutube” in place of “youtube” in the URL and download the video in any quality available.
Hack #3 Finally something on how to block YouTube advertisements!
Ads are annoying, aren’t they? Here’s how to completely eliminate them: Type “youtube skip” instead of “youtube” in the URL.
2nd is LinkedIn:
Hack #1 You can actually see restricted LinkedIn profiles with this simple trick
If you are looking for someone and the search results you see are restricted because of your membership level, you can use the search engine to do a broader search. Just go to google and type: site: linkedin.com “name”
You will instantly find their profile because most profiles are indexed on Google.
Hack #2 Build your resume instantly with this hack!
We all hate having to work on our resume since it takes forever to update, and even longer to include all the things we have done; this simple hack will make life way easier for you.
You can have a professional resume including any work you have put in your LinkedIn profile with LinkedIn’s Resume Builder. You can easily turn your LinkedIn profile into a professional resume in a few moments. Just pick a template and customize what you want to show, then save it as a Word or PDF doc and voila!
Hack #3 Surf LinkedIn anonymously
Feel like a super spy already? If you want to view other people’s profiles without being seen in their list of who visited your profile, here are the steps you need to take:
- Go to “Privacy & Settings” for your profile in the upper right of the page.
- Under the profile tab for “Privacy Controls”, you can click on the option for select “what others see when you’ve viewed their profile” as the option and you will be given the choice of whether you want to surf totally anonymous, or if you want to view it normally.
Note: When you pick “anonymous” you lose a bit of history.
Finally, is Snapchat:
Hack #1 You can actually use two filters on the same photo
Having trouble picking between two filters? I used to go through the filters ten times before I could decide until I came across this hack. If you pick a filter, for example, 2:00 am and hold down your finger then swipe with the other one, you can apply both filters to the same photo at once, simple as that!
Hack #2 Attach emojis to a moving object in any video
Instead of just adding emojis or stickers to a video, you can also pin them to different objects in your video. When the object moves the sticker will automatically move with it.
To do so just record a video then tap on the folded paper icon, pick your favourite emoji or sticker and add it to the video then move it to the place you want to attach it to, hold the emoji and the video will automatically pause on the object that you want to attach the emoji to then just drop it. Now, when the video plays the emoji will stick to the object and move it.
Hack#3 Save your Snapchat data consumption and battery life with this hack
Everyone hates how Snapchat uses a lot of data and drains the battery. That’s why there’s a feature that helps you reduce data consumption and video lagging when you’re trying to record a video.
This feature is called “travel mode”. In order to turn it on go to settings and tap “Manage” under “Additional Services” and switch “Travel Mode” on. Now you can control when to load stories and snaps since they won’t download automatically, conserving your battery and data.
